I am writing regarding the column in News Shopper regarding banning Father Christmas (He Says/She Says, November 17).
I am disgusted by this latest move by shopping centres.
It is lovely to go to the shopping centre and see Santa's grotto, it is exciting for the children, as a lot of other families would agree.
Father Christmas has always been a tradition. Should this be taken away, then Christmas might as well be banned altogether, and that would upset a lot of children.
If these people, the Hindus and Muslims, don't like Christmas, then why are they here?
This has always been a tradition and should always be a tradition, they should stick by our rules.
Would they expect us to go to their county to live and for them to give up their prayers that they do religiously?
This is just what this country is coming to and like a lot of other English people we are moving out of the country.
