Council spying on us to make money

DO NOT be misled by Bromley Council's excuses for using CCTV to stop flytipping, rogue trading or illegal parking (Undercover Council Keeping Check On Us, News Shopper, August 6).

This council needs money so desperately its solution is to use unmarked cars with cameras on board to covertly catch drivers on yellow lines or in loading bays.

You will not get a fine attached to your windscreen - it will come via Royal Mail on your doormat.

An on-the-spot fine issued by the police is £60, which makes sense as speeding is a danger to the driver, pedestrians and other road users.

How do you justify a fine of £120 for leaving a car on a yellow line or a loading bay.

Who is going to get killed or injured? No-one. Bromley Council thinks differently.

The clear message we should be giving to this council and councillors is to start to deliver the services we are paying you for, such as refuse removal and cleaning our permanently filthy streets.

Let the police deal with crime.

More than the eye...., Bromley says...

Are you the same Rob Miles who worked for the Council's parking team for many years before 'leaving' recently?

Bitter and twisted of Petts Wood or just a coincidence ?

If you are the same individual, perhaps you can detail what type of "unmarked cars" are or ever have been " covertly catch(ing)drivers on yellow lines or in loading bays"

There aren't any are there ?

Good rant though. Shame about the truth.
