Two twins separated at birth who as they grow up, end up falling in love with the same girl. Sounds familiar? Well that is the plot of the play Blood Brothers in a very watered down state. On Wednesday the 26th of March a cast consisting of 50+ students (consisting of dancers and actors) at Dartford Grammar School for Girls performed their own version of the world-known and excellent play Blood Brothers by Willy Russel to an audience of over 200 people. The production including lasted over 100 minutes with an interval in between to allow the audience to have a few refreshments and the cast to warm up for the second half. A snippet was also shown the next day in the end of term Easter assembly and received laughter and an immense amount of applause. It truly was an excellent production and I 'm happy I got to be a part of it.

Some of the cast members also talked about their own personal experiences of being a part of this production:

"I found the play incredibly fun to do and create and loved how I was able to interact with people I would never have interacted with before. It was at times difficult and stressful, especially towards the night, but in the end, it was totally worth it!" said Hannah who was part of the chorus

"I thought blood brothers was an amazing experience with lots of stress but worth it in the end," said Louise who took on the role of Eddie at his teenage stage.

"It was a fun experience and I really enjoyed all the parts that I played, I really enjoyed working with the directors and the cast and I thought the end result was very good," said Isobel who was part of the chorus.
