Education is a vital part of our lives and heavily impacts our futures.

The summer term is coming and the present year 11s are preparing for their upcoming GCSEs. These exams are an important part of our education, but they put students under heavy amounts of stress.

Here are some ways to help you study for your exams.

One of the most important things to take in mind is the amount of time you give yourself to revise. Don’t leave it a few days before the exam. Start your revision months, this gives you time to get everything under control.

There are also different types of learners. These include visual learners, auditory learners, reading/writing learners and kinesthetic learners. Depending on which type of learner you are, your work and revision styles will vary.

Visual learners will lean towards images such as graphs, diagrams and charts. When revising, try to draw diagrams of things that might be on the subject. Another method is watching a video.

Auditory learners will lean towards repeating information and answering questions. If you are an auditory learner, try to record information and listen to it or get someone to quiz you.

Reading/writing learners will lean towards writing down notes and reading information. If this is the way you prefer to study, try and write notes and highlight important things such as keywords.

Kinaesthetic learners will prefer to be doing something when revising. They would learn best when exercising or creating puzzles to solve.
