These 8 Year 10 students from Lister Community School took part in the Model United Nations on the 6th and 7th of December. Model United Nations is a form of debate in which students simulate the United Nations and represent a given country and create solutions for world issues. This year Lister Community School participated in the Global Classroom MUN London in association with UNA -USA the official United Nations Association of the USA and the Business Council of the United Nations.
More than 300 delegates from schools across London were tested on their debating and diplomatic skills at the event in Mulberry UTC, Bow and all pupils from Lister were commended for their role in the conference.The entire delegation also received informal commendation awards in their subcommittees for their public speaking and their contributions overall. This was a fantastic achievement for Lister MUN Society.
