Locals delighted with the decision to bring a different shop to this already busy retail park.

The new Marks & Spencer which many locals were waiting in anticipation for the opening opened their doors to the public on Wednesday 30th August. Many locals gathered for the unveiling of the store, which would leave many people spoilt for choice, as they showcased their large range of food and drink.

Since the opening, the food hall has in fact never been empty, as locals line up to purchase a meal for their dinner, or perhaps for some grocery shopping. Many people have been overjoyed by the opening, as it has brought something different to the retail park, which had never previously contained a place to do your weekly grocery shopping.

Before the M&S in Greenford had opened, the shop had previously been a rather large WHSmith store, which was debatably too big for what it sells. However, they kept the WHSmith in the retail park, and moved it next to Carphone Warehouse, perhaps due to the high demand of stationary, as there are many schools around this local area.

Larry Morris, the first customer through the doors of the brand new M&S, and Greenford resident, said “It’s brilliant to see the new Foodhall now open in Greenford. I used to shop in the Uxbridge and Ealing stores, but now this is on my doorstep, I’ll be visiting two or three times a week to stock up on fresh supplies”.

Ultimately, the opening of this store has been a huge success and delighted many of the local people. The store is located at Westway Cross Retail Park, Greenford, Middlesex, UB6 OUW. The opening times are Monday to Saturday, 8am to 8pm and Sunday, 11am to 5pm.
