Chipstead Sailing Club, by Chipstead Lake in Kent, is a defining feature of the Sevenoaks area, offering ‘class and handicap racing, sailing and powerboat training from beginners onwards’, as well as a place for the community to gather together and relax amidst the stunning waterfront landscape.

On the approaching bank holiday (Monday 1st May), the club is hosting an open day, which will take place from 10:30am till 16:00pm, to allow people a taste of sailing and the many experiences the club has to offer.

Visitors will have the chance to take part in a ‘taster sail’, find out about opportunities to learn how to sail, meet club members, watch the ‘Parade of Sail’ Pursuit Race (to raise both money and awareness for the RNLI), and much more.

The club will also be offering special discounts to anyone who decides to join the prestigious club on the open day – for example, those who join as a family member on the day will not have to pay a joining fee.

To find out more about the event or contact the organisers, you can visit the Chipstead Sailing Club official website or email enquiries@chipsteadsc.org.uk.
