West Wickham, amongst many things, is known for its sense of community: a diverse, friendly community which is passionate about making the area a place of family-friendly fun.
The area is also known for its wide variety of parks and recreational open spaces, which provide locals with safe spaces to relax and for children to play.
This year, a combination of these two defining elements will be celebrated, in the annual West Wickham Village Day.
The event will take place on the 1st May from 10am till 3pm, held in the much-loved Blake Park. The day has been organised by the Friends of Blake Park, (a group formed by the local West Wickham community which is dedicated to improving local green spaces), to raise funds to bring a variety of improvements to the park.
Throughout the day, visitors will be able to enjoy a variety of entertainment and activities, such as a dog show, facepainting, kids’ activities and even a knight show! There will also be various food and craft stalls, bars, rides, inflatables, and also a bike clinic.
The festivities will take place regardless of the weather, and admission is completely free to anyone attending – including pets
