Emma Morana, dies at age 117

Emma Morana who was the worlds oldest person, died at the age of 117 in Italy. She was born on the 29th November 1899, in Civiasco, Italy and she died on the 15th April 2017, in Verbania, Italy. Emma Morana has lived through the whole of the 19th century which means she has lived through a lot of history and events. This is the history that she has lived through:

She was born in 1899, in the north of Italy in Civiasco. Then in 1914 it was the start of World War 1, Italy had remained neutral for a year but then became allies, they joined on a promise with the Austro-Hungarian territories, World War 1 then ended in 1919. Then in 1919 it was Mussolini and the rise of Fascism till 1939. Also in 1939 it was the start of World War 2, at first Mussolini abstained from fighting but eventually they decided to join Germany in June 1940. Italy tried to invade Africa and Balkans but required help against the Allies each time. The German forces and Italian Peninsula defeated on the 2nd May 1945, in Italy.  The second World War ended in 1945, after lasting 6 years. Then on June 2nd in 1946, Italy became a republic. During the 1970s Italy experienced an economic crises and a lot of social unrest. During the 1980s there was an economic growth but the increase resulted in another collapse. Then in 2001, Silvio Berlusconi came to power. Then on the 15th April 2017, Emma Morana died at the age 117.

Emma Morana has lived through a complete range of events happening including new prime ministers coming to power, two World Wars and the economic crises. These were major events that happened in Italy let alone the rest of the world.
