It's no surprise to anyone that social media has been at the heart of many upsets and disagreements. Ranging from cyber bullying to online arguments. None of this is ok and despite it being a major argument against the use of social media especially amongst young vulnerable people, it also has its major positives. For example, when asking some of my friends about the benefits of social media, they responded with this:

"its great I love it..I [find] out about so many worldwide issues from social media"

"I agree, its more informative than the news sometimes"

"I've made so many friends from all over the world and they're like my best friends"

"Me too. my online friends help me so much..sometimes more than my friends at home..I don't know what I'd do without them [online friends]"

As you can tell, social media is a valued source of communication and information among this generation and while it may not always be the nicest place, it keeps us updated and informed on the world we are living in.

I believe social media is good for us. There is so much I am aware of and accepting of now and I know that if I wasn't on social media, I wouldn't know as much and wouldn't be as accepting and educated on certain important issues in the world today. Social media is the way forward for the world now, almost everything is online, so we should all find a way to start to love it.
