“Do you have anything planned for Easter?”

“Yes, I planned to revise.”

Yes. Today draws an end of March meaning that Easter holidays have started. Seventeen days in total of holidays sounds fun but as a student in this country, I know that it’s the time for me to be prepared for the end of year exams in late April. Indeed, it’s very stressful to note that it’s not much of a relief to reach the end of the term. It is an issue that you have done all the unit tests and course work up to scratch yet when you sit the end of year exams, your mind goes blank. So, is it too stressful for students to sit exams?

We know that exams are crucial to see an oversight of our future, as well as to have the determination and courage to keep up the strengths and offset the weaknesses to make us stronger people. But stress is another saying of the factor affecting not only the exam results, but also one’s mental wellbeing. As stress narrows your ability to think clearly and function effectively, we need to make sure that we keep ourselves mentally healthy, in order to achieve the best we can be. So, how can we beat stress?

It’s obvious that by planning your study routine, it eases your stress as it can effectively enable you to become more productive and motivated to reach different personal targets each day. It’s a mistaken perception to discount the benefits of creating a study plan by many.

Working hard doesn’t mean to lock yourself away from the outside world. Breathing in open air can ease your stress too. Reward your achievements will motivate you to continue studying and may even reduce stress. For example, after studying hard for an hour, you can take a break to watch an episode of a TV show or something else that you enjoy. And, don’t forget, not getting a full night’s rest can contribute to feelings of fatigue, stress, and anxiety. You need to feel refreshed in the morning in order to keep your mind clear to think.

Good luck for your exams in the coming month!
