Now that we are coming to the end of January, how many people are still going to the gym and eating healthy. As well as giving up smoking and so on. At this time of year when the weather is dark and depressing how much motivation do we have to keep our New Year resolutions going.

Statistics show that in 2017 the top 5 New Year’s resolutions are;

·         5 Do more exciting things 6.3%

·        4 Quit Smoking 7.1%

·        3 Better Financial Decisions 8.5%

·        2 Life/Self Improvements 12.3%

·        1 the most common resolution is to Lose Weight/Healthier Eating 21.4%

People believe in New Year and a new you because it gives them a chance to start all over again.

The most common New Year resolution among my friends was eat healthier & exercise more and trying new things.The majority of people didn’t have New Year resolutions at all.

Have people given up on the idea of new year’s resolutions because no one can ever keep them up- lack of money in January can result in depression rates increasing and so people are becoming less motivated to continue.
