Hammerettes used to be a prime part of West Ham United’s half times, but before the transfer to the Olympic Park it occurred less and less. Dancing like cheerleaders, the hammerettes were some entertainment between halves of the game. Therefore, the Hammers are debating bringing the Hammerettes back for some nostalgia and to make the newer ground feel like home.

A supporter of the London club commented, ‘I think it’s good. It shows a good way of supporting the club and entertaining with the way they perform’.

A controversial means of discussion between irons fans has been the legend, Payet. He has talked about leaving the club, yet declined many offers. The infamous ‘We’ve got Payet’ song has turned around and many fans are very unamused by decisions of Dimitri’s and the club’s. ‘I personally think that he has shown no loyalty, no dedication and he is a mercenary. I think West Ham would be better off without him, he is a bad apple in the basket and him refusing to play is just the tip of the iceberg. He’s been causing a rift all year, I believe West Ham’s poor season could be contributed by Payet’s poor performances indicating his heart has not been with the club this season’ a loyal fan admits.

A final highlight of January so far for West Ham United has been Andy Carroll’s iconic shot, known as a bicycle kick as he guided the ball seamlessly into the right hand corner of the net, victorious in creating not only one of the 3-0 goals, but arguably one of the best in the history of the club. A Hammer of many years commented, ‘having followed West Ham United for 47 years, I believe Carroll’s goal was in the top 3 to 4 goals I have seen yet. If it does not win goal of the season, something is seriously wrong’.
