Cancer Research is a charity that uses the publics donations to give to scientific research on how to cure cancer, and stop it spreading. Its donations have helped make huge leaps and bounds in the process of curing cancer and helping the unfortunate people diagnosed with this terrible disease. None of these steps would have been taken without personal donation from the goodness of people’s hearts.

Many of Cancer Research’s donations are from customers, and 10% of all goods sold in the Orpington Shop are brought in. They also have sponsors, such as Tesco and TK Max.

Lots of volunteers have offered to help at cancer research, in the Orpington high street branch alone there are 42 volunteers working shifts there. All volunteers are personally trained in the store so that they can get as much work done and gain as much experience as possible. Work experience is also offered to those above 15 years.

Cancer Research’s message is to ‘Please continue to support cancer research, and thanks for everything you’ve done!’
