We’ve all heard the phrase ‘Dream big’ and we all have had big ambitions but we may discourage ourselves and think that we are not good enough or clever enough to reach for our goals. Some may say that this is simply being lazy but it can be insecurity.

To achieve your ambitions, the most important thing is you. If you don’t believe in yourself, you won’t be able to convince other’s to believe in you. Even if you can’t believe in yourself, your parents will usually do that for you and support you no matter what. On top of this, no matter what you think and what people say; your teachers do care. They will try their best if you just reach out to them and ask them to support you, not only because it is their job, but because they want you to do well in life and be happy. Finally, your friends, though you may not realise it with all of their teasing, they want you to do well in life and want to see good things happen for you. Unknowingly, by making you happy, they support you and make you feel better about yourself.

With all the people around you backing you up and ready to help in most situations, you have enough support so the only thing that is holding you back is yourself. You may be scared and unconfident but if people thought you were useless, they would not try to help you. Therefore, there is no excuse. You must try to fulfil your ambitions.
