Aisha Nawaz works for the Department of International Development and has twenty years’ experience in her field. I did an interview with her to break down what her job consists of.

What does your job consist of?                                                                    Aisha: It's a project management and policy roll.

What important qualities do you need for this job?                                       Aisha: Basically the current job that I'm working for DFID is a government department to alleviate poverty around the world so it's clear you doing good things to help poor people all over the world and improving education and helping in health care as well as providing jobs.

What are the everyday pressures your job exposes you to?                    Aisha: One main pressure consists of tight deadlines so you have to ensure that the money that is given for each project is spent and that it is monitored correctly and that ministers get the right briefing and that you’re accountable to the tax payer.

What is one of your main achievements within your job?

Aisha: I think putting together a survey for all of our staff was quite stressful and on completion of it I felt very accomplished especially when I was working till a very close deadline with a lot of people to get through.

Are there any important people you have been able to meet as part of your job?

Aisha: Yeah I've met Bob Geldof, Justin Greening who is the Secretary of State for international development and I've met questioning ministers in Ukraine, Moldova government ministers I’ve  met herald the president of East Timor and Clare short.
