NCS Ignite 2015

This Saturday, the charity, the challenge society, of whom you may know offer the summer programme NCS, are hosting an event called Ignite with a plethora of individual workshops, work experience opportunities and industry related talks taking place.

On Saturday the 28th of November, a range of professionals from local businesses, charities and even companies will be at the event for the benefit of you! There will also be CV workshops and mock interview sessions. Furthermore, there is an opportunity to scrutinise or simply ask light hearted questions to local councillors and community leaders in the question time session.

There will also be opportunities to discuss policies and politics with local representatives from the Conservative Party, Labour Party, Liberal Democrats, Green Party and the Residents Association. The residents associations are organisations founded by citizens and formed of a group of people from a specific geographic community. This is as they come together to address issues within their community.

In essence the only serious drawback for this event is that is available to NCS graduates only but, speaking as a member of the youth board, we are definitely looking forward in the near future to organise all inclusive events.

You know what; the most majestic factor about all of this is that is free! So if you want to sign yourself up for this please type ‘TCS Surrey Ignite’ into Google. Then sign yourself up for the event which will be a Google form and you will shortly receive an email confirming you place. This also brings me to the matter that places are limited so sign up now!
