When the Paul Greengrass cinema opened it's doors for the first time, it was merely a projector screen with the film being shown through nothing more than a projector that you would find in the classroom of any school. All that has changed now however, as it has received a premier upgrade.
The Cinema has now been fitted with a professional grade cinema projector, as well as a full size screen to show the vast array of films that are on display at the cinema. Paul Greengrass himself made the announcement when he attended a Q&A at a screening of his film Captain Phillips back in December, and now the changes have officially been put in place.
The array of films shown at the cinema is quite impressive, with indie films being shown side-by-side with the latest blockbusters like Fast and Furious 7. The cinema does need attendees in order to keep running however, as without people paying for tickets it will prove impossible to keep the cinema running, and if it were to close, a lot of money would have been wasted in creating something very worthwhile.
So, I urge everyone reading, head down to Gravesend cinema and buy a ticket to the latest screening, buy a bucket of popcorn, and enjoy the show. There are harder things you could do to help your community.
