On 3rd January 2015, an elderly couple were broken into in the late afternoon.
The couple, who are in their late 80s, live in a quite, residential area near Eltham. They were visited many times between 11am-7pm, till the men finally broke in and injured the elderly man. A path that runs next to the couple's garden gave the burgalars quick access to the house.
The men were not intending to hurt the couple but wanted something inside the home that they thought was worth value. The burgualrs forced there way in through the back door and pushed the old man over. The man's oldest son, who lives with his parents, heard cries for help, so ran downstairs and bravely scared them away. The police were shortly called and many neighbours who heard the commotion came to their help. The police who arrived were very efficient and friendly and reassured them. They have now found the suspects.
