Wow Factor 2010 winners crowned

NINE of them competed but in the end there could only be two winners.

Alex Jackson, from Bromley, and Jonjo Young, from Eltham, were crowned Wow Factor winners for 2010 after a scintillating final on the catwalk at the Glades shopping centre.

A judging panel comprising Miss Bromley Emily Hedge; Nigel Barrett, proprietor of Nigel Barrett Photography; Glades stylist Juliet Wyatt; and Jed Hammill, of international hairdressers Graham Webb, made the tough decisions after all nine finalists performed on the catwalk before a big crowd.

Alex, 22, and Jonjo, 19, will now take part in an advertising campaign for the Glades, as well as claiming £500 of hairdressing and products from Graham Webb and prizes from Nigel Barrett, who also give all the finalists £100.

After the final Alex, who works as a nanny, said: "It was a wicked night. I would love to be a model and I hope this is the first step.

"It was a nerve-wracking evening and we were all supportive of each other. I was crying when I found out I had won, I certainly didn’t expect it because there was some really strong competition."
