News Shopper’s Wow Factor modelling competition is searching for the most gorgeous girl and handsome hunk in the region.
Visitors to our website have had the lucky task of going through dozens of pictures of beautiful young people over the past few weeks and choosing their favourites.
Hundreds of votes have been cast and we can now announce the two young women and two lads who are the first winners in this year’s contest.
In the girls’ section it was Hayley Stitt, age 22, from Eltham, along with 17-year-old Sara Harfield, from Bromley, who got the most votes up to the end of June.
Meanwhile, the two boys who received the most votes were Harry Bailey, age 21, from Eltham, and 18-year-old Sean Boon, from Orpington.
These four winners now get £100 each to spend at Nigel Barrett Photography in Bexleyheath.
They will also attend a special model training day ahead of taking part in the Wow Factor final, which will be held at The Glades shopping centre in Bromley on October 8.
The final will be a catwalk beauty show where two overall winners, chosen by a panel of judges, will become Wow Factor champions for 2009.
Our four winners so far will be joined in the final by six other contestants, who have yet to be decided.
All the other entries stay in the competition and retain the votes they have received so far. They will face new competition when people who have entered recently have their photos added to the girls’ and boys’ galleries.
One more winner in each category will be announced at the end of July, based on who has the most votes at that point.
It’s not too late to enter the competition if you reckon you’ve got the looks to make people say “wow” – see Wow Factor entry form
