THIS year’s winners of News Shopper’s Wow Factor modelling contest were decided when the competition came to a fantastic climax with a fashion show at The Glades shopping centre in Bromley.
Ten gorgeous finalists looked stunning as they modelled a variety of outfits on stage, starting with Wow Factor t-shirts and jeans, moving on to casual wear and finishing in style with a formal wear finale.
Five judges, including News Shopper editor Richard Firth and television presenter Laura Hamilton, had the tough task of picking two winners.
In the girls’ category 18-year-old Sara Harfield got the judges’ vote while for the boys Harry Bailey, aged 22, from Eltham, was declared the winner.
It was a close call in both categories as all 10 finalists – the others being Hayley Stitt, Lauren Kennedy, Helen Tuyen, Samantha Carroll, Jamie Bailey, Adam Ackland, Sean Boon and Salih Nedesem – put in great performance in front of the audience.
For winning the contest Sara and Harry win a bundle of prizes from Nigel Barrett Photography and Graham Webb International. They will also feature in a Glades advertising campaign.
