COUNCIL services are operating as normal in Lewisham today (February 6) with one or two exceptions.
The leisure centres are open although the pools at Downham Health and Leisure Centre are closed.
All football pitches are closed and the track at Ladywell Arena is closed.
The recycling centre at Landmann Way was closed over the weekend because of compacted snow and icy conditions but reopened at 8am this morning.
And all libraries are expected to be open as normal.
Lewisham Council workers are continually re-gritting all main roads and bus routes and are working to ensure clear and safe access to hospital and medical services, transport hubs and schools.
All schools in the borough are expected to be open today with individual school websites carrying details of any changes.
Residents are encouraged to take extra care if driving or going out.
