I AM appalled at the front-page article regarding urban foxes (News Shopper, October 1).

It is generally accepted a fox will only attack another animal if it is cornered and unable to escape. The comments foxes are hunting in packs or may attack children are too absurd to be worthy of further comment.

I am surprised a reputable newspaper should give prominence to such hysterical nonsense.
