Potters Bar, expected to make another bold challenge for league honours this season, got off to a good start with an easy win over New Bradwell St Peter on Saturday.
On top from the start, they went ahead through Dwain Clarke with a good solo goal after 29 minutes.
In added time at the end of the first period, Lee Talbot scored the second, after Colin Robinson carved out the opening.
With four minutes left, substitute John Dixon set up the third goal, by Pryce, and then played the ball over the top for Talbot to lob the keeper.
In midweek, Robinson's goal in the last minute of extra-time gave holders Potters Bar a 5-4 win over Royston in the Herts Charity Shield. Their other goals came from Clarke, Lee Talbot (penalty) and Dixon.
