Harlow Town 1-2 Dartford

A DRAMATIC injury time winner from Jamie Coyle earned Dartford their first Ryman Premiership success at Harlow Town on Monday in a frantic finale.

Manager Tony Burman drafted in three newcomers in a desperate bid to end a run of three consecutive defeats by selecting Rob Haworth for Brendon Cass, Steve Butterworth for Ryan Hayes and Jamie Day for Ray Powell.

As Dartford's travelling faithful out-drummed and out-sung their terraced hosts at Barrows Farm, so Darts did on the field under a leaden sky.

Burman's side have certainly played far better than mere results imply and Monday saw a very convincing display which ended in a heart-rending finale.

As early as 10 minutes, home keeper James Hasell was relieved to field a rebound from his left post having been beaten by a slick flick.

He was then beaten by a header from a right side corner, but the danger was hoofed away for another corner and this one he punched clear.

Darts went in front on 19 minutes.

Lee Noble went on a scintillating run, setting up Steve Butterworth who, in turn, found Rob Haworth and he volleyed home from just inside the area.

The same player was wrongly flagged offside when he fastened on to a home back pass and the half ended as it began with Harlow's Mark Taylor firing in a curveball free-kick from the right, which caused Darts little trouble.

Harlow got behind Darts on the right five minutes after the restart and James Bunn levelled from five yards.

The visitors took control from then on as they rolled out some of their mesmeric one-touch football.

However, it was only at the death when the Darts got their due reward.

With moments to go a blatant hand-ball presented Coyle with an opportunity from the penalty spot but, putting accuracy before power, Hasell's legs saved the day for Harlow.

In the last minute of injury time, Coyle out-jumped everybody to head home a left-side corner.
