THE Hotshots were crowned Elite League summer champions in the South London & Kent Pool Alliance on Thursday night with a 3-0 home win against the Beehive.
With much of the hard graft being completed earlier in the season, it just remained for the Hotshots to keep their nerve and so it proved.
Defeat for the Beehive on the other hand means that they must encounter a jittery last match of the season, to see if they are to survive in the top flight.
With the Jolly Fenman now one point behind them after beating the already relegated Summerfield 2-1 and Our Lady of the Rosary losing 2-1 at the Pickwick, it's one from any these three teams who will face the drop, with Our Lady probably safe unless results go against them.
The Pickwick can thank Ash Hall for dragging them to victory in their tight match, winning all three frames in fine fashion.
The George IV A are now confirmed as league runners up with a 2-1 win at the luckless Fox Under The Hill.
The Great Harry remain on course to win the Tier 2 East division with a 3-0 win at the Who'd A Thought It and the Blue Anchor moved into third spot with a similar score at the Leather Bottle.
Barring a big slip up the Coach & Horses should secure promotion and the Tier 2 West title.
Their perfect season continued with a 3-0 win against the Lee Green Constitutional Club, and it was the same result at the Mitre as the Woolwich Catholic Club have now found their feet and cruised to any easy away victory, but too late to get involved in the promotion picture this season. Elsewhere the Billet Busters cut down the Woodman 2-1.
The registration window is now open for any new teams wishing to join the SLKPA with matches played on Thursday evenings.
