LANGLEY Park Boys' School are preparing to send a strong team to next month's South African tour.
A total of 33 senior rugby players will make the trip where they will play matches in Pretoria, Johannesburg and Cape Town.
This will be the third bi-annual senior rugby tour to South Africa made by the Beckenham school and the boys and staff have been working hard to pay for their trip by fundraising and finding sponsors during the past two years.
Without doubt the highlight of the trip will be a curtain-raiser match on the pitch at Ellis Park in Johannesburg before the Currie Cup clash between the Lions and the Free State Cheetahs.
Ellis Park hosted the World Cup final in 1995 when the Springboks won on home turf and iconic pictures of Nelson Mandela, dressed in a Springbok shirt, were beamed around the world.
