Abery claims top three finish

DAVE Abery recently led seven Istead & Ifield AC runners home in a 10km race at Staplehurst.
The Istead & Ifield contingent at the event was reduced after a number of club members were late for the start.
Abery's time of 38m20s was good enough to secure third spot overall and the other I&I results were: 21st - Joe Cumberland 43m46s; 25th - Nick Claydon 44m20s; 31st -Steven Ball 45m25s; 64th - Gillian Calliste 55m57s; 90th - Mary Penfold and 91st Debbie Tyley (both in 75m23s).
