THERE was little change at the top of the Elite League in the South London & Kent Pool Alliance last week as both the Hotshots and George IV A won their games 2-1 against The Fox Under The Hill and The Jolly Fenman.
The main action concerned the relegation dogfight, which includes all the teams from third place down.
With Mark Eldridge in superb form, The Summerfield picked up an important victory at The Pickwick.
Although Dean James replied for the home team, he couldn't prevent The Pickwick going down 2-1, a result which drew his side back into the survival battle.
Our Lady of the Rosary won a close affair at The Beehive 2-1, leaving just three points covering the bottom four teams with three to go down.
The Great Harry remain on course for automatic promotion with a 2-1 win the Tier Two East division.
John Ratcliff helped himself to three frames in their defeat of Bellegrove Social Club.
The Who'd A Thought It cast off The Blue Anchor with a 2-1 away win and Mark Trott didn't mess about as he polished off the balls to leave his team chasing third spot.
In the Tier Two West, The Coach & Horses remain favourites for the title and are keeping apace with closest rivals The George IV B.
Both teams had comfortable 3-0 wins against The Mitre and Billet Busters respectively, but the Coach's game in hand gives them the edge at the top.
Gallies and The Kings Arms had impressive victories as both sides rise up the table. The SLKPA AGM and presentation takes place this week, which gives teams a chance for a break and to take stock before the final push in this season's race.
Friendlies can easily be arranged for any new teams considering playing in the SLKPA on Thursday evenings.
