THOUSANDS of football fans lined the streets of Gravesend yesterday evening (May 15) to see Ebbsfleet United parade their new silverware.
The Fleet won the FA Trophy with a 1-0 victory over Torquay United at Wembley on Saturday.
And Gravesend's streets were flooded with a sea of red as supporters hailed the players as they displayed the trophy from an open-top bus.
Leader of Gravesham Council Councillor Mike Snelling said: "It was obvious that we had to do something suitable to give the people of Gravesham the chance to celebrate this wonderful success."
The parade began at 6.30pm from Ebbsfleet's ground at Stonebridge Road and went through the town before arriving at the Civic Centre in Windmill Street.
This was followed by a civic reception for the Fleet's players, hosted by the mayor and leader of the council.
