ALAN Pardew has revealed he would like Lee Cook and all of the loan players at The Valley to stay with the club next year.

Cook has indicated he would be prepared to make the switch to SE7 permanent in the summer if Fulham decide to let him go and the Addicks boss confirmed he would happily have him on board.

Pardew said: "I think all of the loan players have started to show their worth and I would like to keep all four of them if I could.

"Whether this could be possible depends on the other clubs and everything else and obviously whatever my budget is.

"They are committed to the cause, there is no doubt about that, and we still have a cause after the results again.

"We continue to be in a bit of a grey area but still in there."

However, one of the loan signings who may not last the season at The Valley is Leroy Lita after Reading manager Steve Coppell indicated he may recall the striker in a bid to save the Royals' top flight status.

Pardew said he was unaware of the suggestion but conceded Coppell could well take Lita back if he wished.

He said: "Steve did say to me he would stay here barring a serious injury to one of his strikers and that would be news to me if that is what he said.

"We will have to wait and see, but Steve has to do what is right for Reading and if he feels they are in danger then calling him back was always a possibility."

Pardew is set to attend a meeting with the club's board next week to discover how much money is in the transfer pot this summer to help the Addicks earn promotion.

He explained: "There is a board meeting next week to clarify what those budgets are and this will be quite important for us regardless of what division we are in.

"It is also important we carry on building from dismantling what was a Premiership outfit at the end of last year.

"I think it is only a board meeting about securing the budgets, but it is a key decision because it will be what the budget is for me to make this team better.

"At the moment we need to improve and I don't intend to stand still."

Charlton could still make the play-offs this season if things go their way, but know victory in Saturday's London derby at QPR is an absolute must.

Pardew added: "The season is kind of on the borderline for us both to some degree.

"Hopefully there will be an atmosphere where one of the teams has got to win and that will create a good atmosphere on the playing surface.

"I think it will be a tough game for us, but a winnable game nevertheless and obviously this is what we will be trying to do."

Sam Sodje will miss the game at Loftus Road despite resuming training, while Jerome Thomas is rated doubtful with a hamstring injury.

Lloyd Sam scored for the reserves in their behind-closed-doors friendly with Reading earlier in the week, but reports he is set to return to the first team at QPR are wide of the mark according to the manager.

"We played a reserve game this week and in all honesty Lloyd Sam didn't feature very well, so I think it is highly unlikely," added Pardew.
