NEIL Warnock accepts it is highly unlikely Scott Sinclair will be making the switch across south London and swapping Charlton for Crystal Palace.
The highly-rated Chelsea winger joined Charlton on loan on February 28, but has struggled to make an impact in SE7.
Parent club Chelsea were reportedly unhappy with the lack of first team opportunities being offered to their player by Alan Pardew.
A further question mark was placed over Sinclair's future at The Valley when he failed to even make the bench for the defeats at Burnley and Ipswich.
Warnock revealed last week he was keen to bring the youngster to the Eagles and although Sinclair can quit Charlton after 28-days of his initial loan deal, the Palace boss accepts time is against him.
He said: "I don't think we will be able to get him because the first month of his loan at Charlton is not until after the deadline.

"I don't think legally we could have him but I did speak to him before he went there and told him he could play every game with us.
"But obviously he thought Charlton was a bigger fish and I suppose in their position where they were, they were.
"He hasn't played much has he? I don't think he has started a game and he went out for games.
"It is a shame really when I see that because he could have played every game for us."
