OLD Bexley Primary School’s girls’ cricket team completed a hat-trick of Kent kwik-cricket county titles.
What makes the achievement more impressive is that each year the winning players move on to secondary schools, so for the same school to get another winning side together for a third straight year is a remarkable success.
Playing a strength-sapping seven matches on a hot day at Polo Farm in Canterbury was a daunting task, but the girls got stronger and better as the day went on.
Winning all seven matches put them on top of the table and they will now represent Kent at the national regional finals at Regents Park next week.
