SEVERAL students at Langley Park School for Girls have enjoyed county and national success in their individual sports.
Emily Grant began playing water polo at Beckenham Swimming Club.
The Year 10 student plays for Invicta Ladies in Division Three of the national league and also represents Langley Park at rounders, netball and fencing.
She was recently selected for the England water polo development squad after trials against 70 girls from across the country.
Fellow Year 10 pupil Charlotte Bryan recently made her debut for the Hayes women’s first team in the Southern Premier Cricket League and was delighted to be playing alongside England cricketers Laura Marsh and Katherine Long.
She has been playing at county level for Kent for six years as opening batsman and bowler and was proud to be part of the U15 Kent squad which achieved their national champion status.
Year 9 student Georgina Kennedy has continued her success in squash after dominating the U13 age group, where she was ranked number one in England in 2010.
Having moving up an age group to U15, she is currently ranked number three in the country against girls up to two years older than her.
She still holds the number one position in Kent up to U17s.
Kennedy recently received her first national cap representing England in the five national championships.
