ROWERS from Townley Grammar School in Bexleyheath enjoyed some impressive results at the university challenge championships.
They scooped first, second and third place in the girls’ boat relay race, as well as accomplishing fine individual results and placings in the Year 10, 11 and 12 races.
Among these were Danielle Row, who was ranked third in the fastest girls’ split section before going on to win the Victor Ludorum Trophy with a grand total of 60 points.
Townley PE teacher and rowing coach Mr Greener said: “I think this could possibly be the proudest moment of my career so far – a complete Townley wipe wash!
“The girls gave it their all and my throat still hurts from shouting.
“I’m delighted to add another trophy to the PE cabinet.”
