LEIGH Technology Academy U14 girls’ rugby league team will battle it out with Cumbrian side Southfield School in August’s national finals.
The Dartford youngsters have already defeated St Peter’s School (Manchester) 18-6 and Outwood Grange School (Yorkshire) 18-0 to book their finals spot.
Leigh Academy’s tries in the semi-final triumph over Outwood Grange came courtesy of Isio Orogun (2) and Rachel Pollard.
The final with Southfield School at Richmond RFC takes place on August 23 and will be followed by a parade at Wembley Stadium the following day before the Challenge Cup final.
Leigh are in fine form this year having already won April’s Kent county tournament with seven straight victories, as well as retaining their London champions crown for the third consecutive year.
