The only way is Essex for Combe

WESTCOMBE Park picked up a welcome 23-10 victory at Thurrock on Saturday.

A pair of Trent Nattrass tries by the posts in the first quarter set the Orpington side on their way and it looked like they might pull clear.

But Thurrock tightened up their defence, clawed back a penalty and with a try of their own early in the second half, Combe's 12-10 lead was suddenly a slim one.

Going into the last quarter Combe's building pressure forced errors from the home side.

Two Luke Giles penalties gave the visitors some breathing space and a well-worked try in the last minute by Nikki Davies sealed the win.
