OLD Colfeians chalked up their third win in a row when they defeated Braintree in a hard-fought London Division One game at Horn Park.

Despite propping up the league, Braintree were no pushover and Colfeians only led narrowly only 10-7 at half-time.

The game became more open in the second half when Colfeians were able to add a further 25 points, restricting Braintree to 10.

Colfeians gained a bonus point with four tries from Rob Bennett, Dan Jeal, James Poole and Adam Winchester.

Poole kicked a trio of conversions and three penalties, giving him a personal points tally of 20.

Man-of-the-match was Steve Howard, who put in an impressive performance in the second row.
