VIGO RFC have confirmed second row Andy Wilford as the new club captain.
Wilford played for Swansea University and Maidstone before returning to Vigo where he first leant the game as a junior player.
He is determined to take Vigo to promotion and has already instigated new disciplines for the first XV, as well as formulating plans beyond the pure playing sides.
Meanwhile, Andy Carslaw has been appointed as Vigo’s new coach, heading a team of coaches.
Carslaw says he is determined to lead Vigo on to better things.
Pre-season training has already started and Vigo welcomes any player of any age and skill to attend coaching on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at their headquarters in Swanswood Field, Harvel.
New recruits have already joined the club as they see the progress being made at this small, friendly and ambitious Kent One side.
