BECCEHAMIANS RFC’s under-15s have enjoyed another double success.
Last year the youngsters collected two trophies as an under-14 outfit, landing the 15-a-side and sevens titles at the Kent Festival.
The 15s crown was retained this year, although a sudden change of tournament date meant Beccehamians were unable to defend the sevens title.
Despite this disappointment, the club responded in style by emerging victorious in the Newbury national 10s competition.
After a series of resounding wins in the pool games, Beccehamians entered the final with a match against the mighty Saracens.
The game was hard-fought and finished 0-0, resulting in the contest being decided on points accumulated from the pool matches.
Beccehamians had attained a massive tally of 169, which was good enough to earn the title and now everyone is looking forward to next season and playing as an under-16 squad.
