Not a good day at the office for Shoots after six straight wins and an abandoned match.

Shoots were not able to field the full side and were simply not strong enough.

Shoots dominated the scrum for the first 10 minutes and other set-pieces worked well too.

But in that first 10 minutes or so, Foots Cray managed to cross the Shoots try line twice with their excellent kicker converting both – 14-0.

Foots Cray's No11 was sin-binned for an attempted trip on Harry Barham and Shoots managed to get back into the game with Glen Miller crashing over on 35 minutes – Peter Deady wasn’t able to add the extra points so with 35 minutes played, it was 14-5 and it felt like Shoots were still in the match.

But Shoots immediately gave away a simple penalty right in front of the posts, followed by a couple of half-hearted tackles to let Foots Cray regain the ascendency right on half-time, making it 22-5.

Foots Cray raced out for the second half and after just 12 minutes, they had scored twice more: 34-5.

Their No9 was binned and Shoots hit back with a Pete Beale crash-bang try, taking over at least three of Foots Cray's players too. The conversion was good and the score was 34-12.

On the day, Foots Cray were too good. They ran in another couple of tries and the game ended 53-12.

Better luck on 3rd January at home to Edenbridge.
