Orpington outfit Westcombe Park emerged worthy 25-14 victors at Chichester.

Both sides were undefeated going into the game and there was an evenly matched tense start.

Henry Anscombe put over his first penalty for the home side, only for Iain Gordon to reply for Combe.

Anscombe added a second, but the visitors finished the half strongly with a close range unconverted try by Gideon Roux.

Westcombe Park’s pack dominated the second half in all phases bringing further tries for Lee Covington from a lineout drive and for winger Chris Lewis put over in the corner.

Anscombe struck his third penalty and although Chichester winger Leon Driscoll crossed late on to give them hope of a comeback at one score behind, Combe had the last say with a bonus point try by the posts for No. 8 Matt Arvier, converted by Ben Hough.
