Charlton Park finished a London Two SE title winning season with a six-try victor over Medway, securing promotion as champions their first since 1996.
First half tries for Alan Knuckey, Rob Saunderson and Tom Coad, allied to three kicks, two conversions and a penalty from Knuckey, ensured that Charlton held a good interval lead despite Medway scoring a try in the dying seconds of the first half.
Medway scored another two tries to narrow Charlton’s lead to four points after the break.
But Reion Rabye, Sam Baker and second try and three conversions from Knuckey helped Charlton to ease away to promotion to London One South.
