Westcombe Park travelled to Hertford but the Orpington side came away empty handed after siffering a 24-6 defeat.
In a scrappy game with few chances for either side, there were mistakes and errors aplenty.
Hertford were quick off the mark with a try in the corner for full-back Jack Mann, a conversion and then a penalty by Rob MacPherson-Smith all inside five minutes.
Combe steadied but could not break through the home defence.
On the stroke of half-time Hertford made a rare visit to the opposing 22 and from a scrum close to the line, No 8 Torran MacDougal was over for their second score, again converted by MacPherson-Smith for a 17-0 lead at the break.
The visitors clawed it back to 17-6 early after the restart with two penalties from Iain Gordon, but any thoughts of a comeback were sunk when Ian Crompton went over in the corner for a try also converted by MacPherson-Smith.
