RAIN and slippery conditions ensured it would be a close match as Shooters Hill took on leaders Cranbrook.
Shoots made a good start with the scrum dominant and hooker Paul Stephen again making ground in the loose.
Both Shoots’ tries came from pushovers with Dave Viney and Alex Coates claiming the scores.
Edmar Vinluan kicked one conversion.
Cranbrook made their mark with some long kicks but Shoots kept up the pressure and with the scores level, the visitors kicked a penalty to edge ahead.
Defeat sees Shoots slip down one spot to seventh in the table.
