Crystal Palace midfielder James McArthur is attracting interest from Rangers.

The Scotland international has made 32 appearances for the Eagles, featuring regularly under Roy Hodgson.

He has scored five goals to help Palace move six points clear of danger with three games remaining.

Despite being a first-team regular, the Daily Record reports Rangers are trying to tempt McArthur back to Scotland.

He came through the ranks at Hamilton before moving to Wigan in 2010.

McArthur impressed in his four years at the DW Stadium and completed a £7m transfer to Palace in 2014.

Rangers are also eying Burnley midfielder Scott Arfield, who is believed to be a more realistic target than McArthur.

McArthur’s Palace deal runs out at the end of the season.
