Everton have joined Crystal Palace, Tottenham and Newcastle in the race to sign Besiktas striker Cenk Tosun.
Tosun is in-demand after scoring 26 goals for the Turkish giants last season.
And Everton view the £20m-rated forward as an ideal replacement for Romelu Lukaku, who joined Manchester United in the summer.
The Toffees are the third joint-lowest scorers in the Premier League this season, netting just seven times.
They are in the relegation zone with strikers Wayne Rooney, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Sandro Ramirez failing to fill the big void left by Lukaku.
And Everton’s poor form cost Ronald Koeman his job last week.
Tosun, who has scored seven goals this term, could help fire the Toffees away from danger.
It is understood that the 26-year-old's advisors have held talks with Everton and Tottenham.
