Bordeaux goalkeeper Cedric Carrasso has claimed he rejected a late approach from Sunderland in the summer transfer window.
Black Cats boss David Moyes was searching the market for a stopper after Vito Mannone was ruled out for three months with an elbow injury.
And Carrasso, 34, says he turned Sunderland down after they made a move for his services.

When asked about the alleged interest from Moyes’ charge, the ex-France international told Telefoot: “Yes, during the last moments, but it wasn't the time.
“I returned from injury and there were other things to do.”
Carrasso, who has played over 280 games for Ligue 1 side Bordeaux, started his career at Marseille and spent a short loan spell at Crystal Palace in 2001.
