Former Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini is being targeted by Crystal Palace, reports say.

The Eagles failed to land any deadline day signings and Alan Pardew missed out on a deal to bring Jack Wilshere to the club on loan.

The Daily Mirror say Palace are lining up a move for Flamini, who was released by the Gunners at the end of last season.

The South Londoners face substantial competition for the Frenchman, however, with Roma and AC Milan both said to be interested in the 32-year-old.

Marseille-born Flamini made over 200 league appearances for Arsenal during two spells at the club.
